Insurance for Building Damage / Leaseholders

The housing council provides the insurance for your building, and the associated costs are included in your service charge.

Important Steps in the Claim Process:

  • Take photos for proof of any damages.

  • Keep details on the moment the damage was noticed.

  • Before any payments are made to fix works, leaseholders will need a minimum of two quotes (please confirm with the insurer), details on the cause of the damage, and confirmation if it has been fixed (e.g., has the water stopped leaking).
